A Medieval Pub

When we were in Tallinn, we had the opportunity to eat in a medieval pub. Although some of it had been reconditioned, the building itself was from about the 1200s. The pub's dark wood and limited lighting certainly created the right ambiance, and the menu offered foods that may have been eaten during medieval times. Don, Rick and Brianna had a beer, and the apple and ginger hot drink that I drank is worth trying to duplicate at home. Then I had a seafood salad (though it was billed as having king crab, and I didn't see any), and the other three had the Forest Game Soup. All of the food was good, including the bread, and we left feeling as if we didn't need any dinner.
The waiter spoke in a medieval-style accent (though when we talked to him on the side, he dropped the lingo), the bathrooms emulated the toilets that we had seen in other castles, and the art work behind the booths was fun to look at. We have been to other medieval-style restaurants, but this one seemed more authentic than most. It was fun to experience.
