Baby Tessa

When we discovered Melinda was pregnant, we were delighted . . . and scared to death.  But we were pleased that they took the risk.  They have so much love to give to another child, and we were very excited for them.

When we learned Baby Tessa is a girl, we were even more delighted.  But she surely kept us waiting. Although she was due on February 26, she didn't arrive until March 3.  Since she arrived early in the morning - 8:45 a.m. - we had the whole day to meet her.

An hour after she was born, she was quite alert, and she has remained so.  She has been an easy baby, on occasion fussy but not abnormally so.  Because she was 9 pounds, she was nearly full-grown - for a baby.  When we saw her, however, we remembered she was still very little.  She surveyed us with those blue eyes, taking in the world around her.  She has a marvelous life ahead of her.  Welcome, Tessa.
