You never know what you are going to learn on a trip like this, especially when traveling with family.
During the first week of the trip, when Babs was having issues, I would make her food, add water, and mix it. Katie would say I was making it "skishy." Skishy. Yes, that was an appropriate word.
Later in the trip, we were talking about pies - especially fruit pies. Nope. Katie wasn't eating it. Cooked fruit is "skishy." Huh? I didn't know that about her.
When I made my cranberry sauce from the low-bush cranberries, again she said she wouldn't eat it because the fruit is "skishy."
Ok then. I now know that cooked fruit is skishy and Katie doesn't like it. And I have added a new word to my vocabulary.
