Baldwin Street and Dunedin

Apparently when the explorers from Scotland arrived in New Zealand, they settled in Dunedin. As they began to plan the city, they took a map of Edinburgh and basically copied the city streets - names, angles, and all. One of the streets, Baldwin Street, is apparently the steepest in the world, with a 19% grade. We did not try to walk up or down it, but we did drive it. Wow! Our driver said he has skateboarded down it - yikes!
