We were a little concerned about the RV parks in Kenai. The one Don had chosen was out of business, and we were worried that the others would just be a parking lot. But we took a gamble on the Beluga Point RV Park.
When we drove in, we noticed that yes, it is just a parking lot. But the view more than made up for it.
As we sit in our RV, we can watch seals dive up and down in the ocean, and perhaps we could see a whale, though it is not likely.
Katie decided to try her hand at flounder fishing. She hasn't caught anything yet, but the day is young!
The tide at Cook Inlet can change by 30+ feet, and we have definitely been able to observe it. While Katie was fishing she had to move her chair back five times . . . and it still had a long way to go.
