Floating the Kenai

On Friday, Bart, Don, Katie, Kenneth and Melinda all went on a float fishing trip.  Their guide is one of 27 groups who are allowed to fish in the Kenai Wildlife Refuge, so the fish are big and hungry.  Our group was not disappointed.

Everyone caught big fish, but all concur that Melinda caught the biggest one.  She has never fished before, so when she caught her first one, she started jumping up and down in the river. The guide had to calm her down, and soon she had her first fish.  She also caught a silver salmon, but unfortunately it got away when the guide tried to net it.
