Mesa Top Road

Since we had dogs to handle, we came back home for a few hours and went back to the park to do the Mesa Top Loop.  Several of the sites we pit houses and very prehistoric homes, but at the end of the loop, visitors are treated to spectacular views of Cliff Palace and the Fire House.

Although we did not have the opportunity to walk inside the cliff dwellings, we had beautiful views of them.  Bart had his high-powered telescopic lens, which allowed him to have a great perspective of the sites. We were even able to see the black murals on some of the walls of the Cliff Palace.

The black murals are to the left center, just above what appears to be a gap
By the time we returned home, we had walked over 16,000 steps (7 miles) and had had a spectacular time!
