Prince George

We arrived in Prince George about 9:00 p.m., which is much later than we like.  It wasn't much of a problem in July driving that late, but now the nights are getting longer, it is dark much earlier.  We had to drive in the dark, which is never fun in wooded areas, and we saw several deer on the sides of the road.

We did not get to spend much time in Prince George, but I wish we could have.  It has several museums I would have liked to have seen, and we didn't see much of the city at all.  The part that we did see, however, was beautiful.  Through several blocks of downtown, every block had large potted plants hanging from light poles or other poles.  They were absolutely gorgeous.  Unfortunately, I was driving and could not get a picture of all of the potted plants.  I know they are only there for the summer, but a person driving through the town could not help but feel good about being there!
