The Cube

We went to one of many wineries outside Adelaide, and I cannot imagine any being more fun. The Cube can be seen from a far distance, and for engineers and architects, just seeing it is exciting. Then discovering that some of Salvador Dali's sculptures are there as well gave us a fun picture.
And then we went inside. It is somewhat like Meow Wolf, with creative, imaginative art on every bit of the wall, but it is a much smaller venue without the washing machine! Nevertheless, it was very fun. In one room, different large beakers had a variety of "scent makers" in them along with a bulb to squeeze air into the beaker. We could then smell what was inside - I think as an exercise to understand the various scents in wines. The tasting area, with its gorgeous view, provided a nice venue for the wine tasting.
The art work on the tasting floor was pretty interesting - from the scuba diver to the wild chairs to the beautifully-crafted tables to the d'Arenberg wine wheel that helps people find a wine.
We decided to take the stairs since the elevator was slow, but we had no idea that the stairs would be so . . . different.
So if you see an Australian wine with a red stripe, it came from The Cube!
