Coquille Lighthouse

The Coquille River Lighthouse looked cool from the outside, and it probably had some interesting aspects to it . . . but we would not know what they are.  The docent was about as dull as could be.  He told us nothing, except not to miss the Cape Blanco lighthouse.

When we entered downstairs, we were greeted nicely by a woman, I assume the man's wife.  She sent us upstairs, warning us to watch our heads at the wooden step.  That was as much information as we got about the lighthouse.  We had to go outside to read the sign.

This cute little lighthouse deserved better.  I am sure there is a story or two to tell . . . but we will have to find out about them on our own.
