GPS is Great . . . Except when it isn't

How did we ever survive without GPS?  Our trip to California would have been a disaster without Leila, Don's GPS.  The problem is Leila thinks she knows everything, even when she doesn't.  In California, Leila and Susan's iPhone conflicted frequently.  It was hard to know what to do.

Part of the problem is that Leila figures the route, but she doesn't clue us into her thinking. Today we wanted to go to Mesa Verde, but wanted to go through Farmington and Shiprock; she was determined to take us through Durango.  Recalculating, take CR 557.  Recalculating, take CR 552.  Of course, the CR roads were dirt.

Who knows where they would lead?  And we did not want to go that way.  The only way to shut her up was to turn her off.  Poor Leila.

I hope when we get farther along on the trip, Leila gets better.  Otherwise, she may permanently lose her job.
