Lime Creek Burn

The Lime Creek Burn occurred in 1879.  In 1911, it was reforested.  Look at it now!





It is the thickest stand of aspens I have ever seen.  Pictures on the internet show what it looks like in the fall . . . spectacular.  Although I won't be alive to see it, I suspect this is what the area in the Pecos will look like in 50 years.  In the long-term, fire is a good thing.
