The Family Arrives

It was not easy getting everyone here, but we finally did.  Bart and his Urban Texas Housewife, Jerri, made their flights without a hitch; Kenneth and Melinda not so much.  A storm in Dallas delayed them so long that they missed their Anchorage flight.  After overnighting in LA, they got to Anchorage in the early afternoon.

Bart picked up his RV at 7:25 a.m. (after a 2:00 a.m. arrival), got his instructions and with great trepidation, headed out.  He called us after arriving back at his hotel.  "I think I am going to find a park in Anchorage and stay here the entire time," he said.  By the time Kenneth and Melinda arrived, however, he was feeling a little more comfortable.

They arrived in Seward a little frazzled but all in one piece.  Don was delighted to finally have some male companionship.  He had been waiting to break open some of his Ultimate Road Trip ale, a home-brewed concoction made by one of his PEC buddies, and this was the appropriate time!

We spent the evening swapping stories, walking, and eating.  Then everyone went to bed for well-deserved sleep.
