Staying at the Dairy Farm

Our hotel at Lake Myvatn was a dairy farm.  When we drove in we were greeted by all of the cows calmly eating their evening meal.  We returned at 6:00 to watch the milking, and while there we met some of the little calves.  They were so cute!

The room at the farm was a wood-paneled room, somewhat like the lodge we stayed in in Healy, Alaska.  It was amazingly quiet, and with the exception of the weak wifi and smelly water (something we are learning to expect), it was a wonderful place to stay.

When we went back for dinner, we were served a "healthy shot" - fresh milk straight from the cow.

Don had lamb, and I had a sandwich - both excellent.

We would go back in a heartbeat.
